Just south of Bend, a little past Sunriver, this 2021 custom design-build sits firmly along the Deschutes. Known as the River Run and situated among towering Lodgepole and Ponderosa, scrubby sage and Juniper, this stunning original takes cues from its natural surroundings wherever possible. Norman-built custom cabinetry and doors, a bar area, dining table, and benches throughout all pull elements of the outside and bring them in with finesse and confidence. Beyond the grand front entrance—reminiscent of an old PNW lodge–natural water features mimic the nearby Deschutes in sound, sight, and sentiment. With hints of rustic inspiration overlaid with contemporary finishes and decor throughout, this Central Oregon custom home is modern comfort mixed with a light farmhouse feel—luxury and relaxation along the river’s edge.
