Built on experience.
Defined by the details.

Since 1977, Norman Building & Design has designed and built distinctive custom homes throughout Central Oregon. Our integrated team brings design, construction, interiors and craftsmanship together under one roof—creating a more thoughtful process and homes made to stand the test of time.

Rooted in Central Oregon

Jim Norman founded Norman Building & Design in Bend in 1977 with a straightforward goal: listen carefully, build thoughtfully and never compromise the details.

What began as a family building company has grown into a collaborative team of designers, project managers, craftspeople and construction professionals. While our capabilities have expanded, the way we approach the work has remained much the same. We take the time to understand each client, respond to the character of the property and create a home that feels personal—not prepackaged.

That commitment has carried Norman Building & Design through five decades of building in Central Oregon.

One team. One shared standard.

Bringing key disciplines together allows us to communicate clearly, solve problems early and maintain a consistent level of quality from the first sketch through the final walkthrough.

Integrated Design

Our architectural and interior design teams collaborate with construction from the beginning, helping every decision support the complete vision for the home.

Hands-On Craftsmanship

The builders, project managers and craftspeople on our team pay close attention to the materials, connections and finishing details that give each Norman home its character.

Personal Communication

Clients have direct access to the people guiding their project. Questions are welcomed, decisions are explained and we meet you where you are throughout the process.

Meet the team behind the work

Every Norman home is shaped by people with different areas of expertise working toward the same goal. From early design conversations and material selections to project coordination and final construction, our team works together to create a process that feels organized, personal and collaborative.
