Designing and Building Exceptional Custom Homes since 1977
In a fast-paced, corner-cutting world, extraordinary effort is not something you experience every day. But at Norman Building & Design, our reputation for sweating the details and going the extra mile for our clients started the moment we put up a shingle (and countless others) in Bend in 1977. Today, achieving the extraordinary is so ingrained in our company DNA, it’s completely second nature to each of the team members under our roof.

DESIGN & DRAFTING
Putting Your Dreams on Paper Extraordinary custom-built homes don’t just pop up out of nowhere. Every Norman home begins with notepads, sketchbooks and meetings. We talk about your ideas and visions. What you want and don’t want in your new home. Are you looking for a rustic Pacific Northwest lodge, an Alpine chalet or a contemporary classic? We walk your lot. Observe the view. Notice the surroundings, the trees, the rocks. How the sun falls on the land. Sometimes the sketching begins right there on the bare ground. But only after extensive listening and notetaking does the building process begin. |
CONSTRUCTION
Transforming Your Dreams Into Your Dream Home This is where a Norman project manager becomes one of your closest friends and you become part of the Norman family. The project manager supervises every stage of construction – organizing the job, creating timelines, coordinating the subcontractors – to complete it on time and on budget. Over the years, we’ve developed special relationships with the area’s finest subcontractors. Heck, we’ve hired several of them for our in-house team. Yet we never forget that the most important member of the team at this and every stage is you. |
REMODELING
Bringing New Life to Your Existing Home Remodeling your existing home or enlarging your living space is an important service that we can provide to you, whether we originally built the home or not. We specialize in seamlessly building additions to your home or working within existing walls to blend the old with the new. Whether we are updating specific rooms or adding rooms, floors or an entire wing to increase your home’s size, our team can take the potential stress out of the job and make the process downright fun. |
